Historical Society President Is Selected By Stanford Who's Who
Donna M. Finicle has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her incredible work in the community.
WOODLAND PARK, CO, August 8, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Donna M. Finicle has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her incredible work in the community. As President of Ute Pass Historical Society she has consistently displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
The UTE Pass Historical Society is a volunteer run, nonprofit organization that actively preserves and shares the history of Ute Pass. It was created in 1976 by local citizens to preserve and share their families' pioneering history as well as the Native American heritage of the region. UPHS operates the Old Curiosity Gift Shop and the Pikes Peak Museum which includes the Centennial Trailhead Museum and Ute Pass History Park. They also have educational programs, a photo collection and archives, and a traveling photo exhibit.
As President of the organization, Donna is responsible for managing all major aspects of the group and overseeing the daily operations as well as coordinating activities and fund raisers. She provides remarkable direction and leadership to the group.
During her educational career, Donna earned a Master's Degree from the University of Denver in 1972. She is an experienced social worker who is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Donna has been the recipient of awards for Outstanding Social Worker of the Pikes Peak Region and Outstanding Social Worker of Colorado. In the time away from her busy schedule, she greatly enjoys traveling, cruises, hiking and camping.
