Sister Pat Rhatigan Joins The Stanford Who's Who Family

Sister Pat Rhatigan has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her incredible work in the community.

BROOME, WA, AUSTRALIA, July 8, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Sister Pat Rhatigan has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her incredible work in the community. As an integral part of the Sister of St. John of God Heritage Centre she has routinely displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.

The Sisters of St. John of God Heritage Centre is a non-profit museum with an Indigenous perspective. It has been set up as a valuable resource for preserving information in the way of documents, photographs and oral histories for the people of the Kimberley.

Historical information is showcased in the 'Relationships Exhibition' which reflects the relationships many racial groups of people had with the Catholic Church through the Sisters. The Centre has become a point of reconciliation through education for many visitors to Broome and also enables children to gain experience of the past.

Sister Pat Rhatigan was the recipient of the award as an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia and the investiture ceremony at Government House in April 2008. During her educational career, she earned a PhD from the University of Notre Dame.
