Incredible Artist Is Displayed In The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who

Jeff Morgan has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his brilliant work in the Arts.

HAWKER, SA, AUSTRALIA, July 10, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Jeff Morgan has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his brilliant work in the Arts. As Co-Owner of Wilpena Panorama for the past 10 years, Mr. Morgan has routinely displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.

Wilpena Panorama is an art gallery located in the center of Hawker, hub of the magnificent Flinders Ranges in South Australia. The gallery features a panorama which is 30 feet in diameter, and portrays a 360 degree view of some of the most beautiful country in South Australia as seen from the highest point of Wilpena Pound, St Mary's Peak and the Flinders Ranges.

Mr. Morgan is an artist who grew up in Wirrabara Forest where he attended the local primary school and then the Gladstone High School. His earliest influence was his primary school teacher, Peter Rankin, who could see that Jeff had potential to develop as an artist. He was also influenced early on by his supervisor with the Woods & Forest Dept at Wirrabara Forest, Geoff Brown, who taught him the importance of being particular about small details in his work. During this time, Jeff was too busy working to draw or paint.

In 1990, Jeff experienced a change of direction and it was during this time that he picked up a paintbrush and started to paint. Although Jeff has not received any formal art training, he has studied by reading and by visiting art galleries and observing the painting techniques used by other artists. He went on to become the Artist-in-Residence at Rawnsley Park in the Flinders Ranges for a period of three years, during which time his ability to paint was developed, and he was often visited and encouraged in his work by other artists who also loved to paint the Flinders Ranges.

In 2004, Jeff was a Guest speaker at the 12th International Panorama Conference. In 2005, he was an Honored Guest at the 13th International Panorama Conference. He was also a Guest Speaker at the International Panorama Conference from 2006-2008. Jeff and the Wilpena are featured in The Panorama Phenomenon and Stanford Who's Who Black Book.
