Dr. Bea Card Kettlewood Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who

Dr. Bea Card Kettlewood has showcased her artwork in 49 shows

    POMPTON PLAINS, NJ, November 18, 2010 /Museums PR News/ --Dr. Bea Card Kettlewood, Retired Educator, Lecturer and Professional Artist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in art education.

An art enthusiast, Dr. Kettlewood acquired 33 years of knowledge working as an educator and 50 years as a professional artist. Her experience has made her adept in using watercolors, oil, and pen and ink. She has the unique ability to design stained glass windows, and showcased her talent when she created the windows for Chilton Hospital and the First Reform Church of Pompton Plains and three additional hospital chapels.

Dr. Kettlewood worked as the director of the art of department at New Milford High School, where she was recognized as a noted artist and educator. During this time, she developed an exemplary fine arts program to promote and guide students' creativity and talent. She has displayed her personal work at 49 solo shows, and has been featured in numerous juried and invitational shows throughout the United States.

A certified art teacher, Dr. Kettlewood completed a doctoral degree at New York University, and obtained a master's degree from NYU. She serves as a branch president of the American Association of University Women, and is also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. She attributes her success to the support and inspiration she received from her elementary art teacher, Mae H. Dorcas.
