Museum Education Project Gives Hollister Creative Unfair Advantage on 'Jeopardy' TV Game Show

Philadelphia area creative services firm Hollister Creative wrote student learning guide for Mummies of the World museum exhibition, which has a category on 'Jeopardy' October 25.

WYNNEWOOD, PA, October 26, 2010 /Museums PR News/ -- If you're the competitive type, don't watch "Jeopardy!" with the Hollister Creative team on Monday, October 25. They'll win.

The Philadelphia area creative services firm wrote and designed the student learning guide for Mummies of the World, a museum exhibition that has been honored with a category on the quiz show. "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek is familiar with Mummies of the World, as he celebrated the opening of the exhibition at the California Science Center at a VIP event this summer.

Mummies of the World features a never-before-seen collection of naturally and intentionally preserved mummies. The collection includes ancient mummies and important artifacts from Asia, Oceania, South America, Europe and ancient Egypt, dating back 6,500 years.

Hollister Creative produced the standards-based learning guide for Mummies of the World for the exhibition's presenter, American Exhibitions, Inc. The 20-page learning guide enhances student interest in the scientific and cultural study of mummies. It includes hands-on experiments and educational activities to deepen understanding of the scientific method, as well as historical and cultural research.

Hollister Creative provided the learning guide as a PDF for viewing online, downloading or printing, and as an e-book. American Exhibitions is making the guide available in all these forms to museums and science centers that host the exhibition.

The exhibition will tour major in the United States over the next three years. It travels next to the Milwaukee Public Museum, opening there on December 17. An opening at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia is anticipated in June 2011.
