KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, May 27, 2010 /Museums PR News/ -- Anyone who enjoys spending their afternoons browsing in art galleries should book themselves Kuala Lumpur hotels during July.
For the whole month, one of the city's most prestigious art galleries will be hosting the 1Malaysia Contemporary Arts Festival.
Visitors to the city will be able to see a host of works from both established and up-and-coming Malaysian artists.
All of the installations will be on show between July 1st and 31st at the Petronas Art Gallery - otherwise known as the Galeri Petronas - and the National Art Gallery in Kuala Lumpur.
Tourism Malaysia notes that the festival will feature "an exciting display of techniques, ideas and inspirations".
At the end of the month, all of the pieces will be moved to another gallery elsewhere in Malaysia.
The Petronas Art Gallery was established in 1993, although it moved to its current home at the base of the iconic Petronas Towers in 1998.
Designed as a circular gallery, the establishment boasts 2,000 sq m of space for its exhibits.
The Petronas Art Gallery is open daily between 10:00 and 20:00 (local time). There is no charge for admission.
