ORLANDO, FL, April 15, 2009 /Museums PR News/ -- The acclaimed TITANIC - THE EXPERIENCE attraction marks its 10th Anniversary this April 15th, 2009 with a special 2-hour evening tour and authentic British tea service to commemorate the attractions 10th year as well as the 97th Anniversary of Titanic's ill-fated 1912 maiden voyage. Titanic-The Experience originally opened at The Mercado on April 10th 1999 and had a successful nine year run prior to the plaza being closed and redeveloped. The all new attraction, now located at 7324 International Drive, is twice the size of the original with over 20,000 sq ft. The 20 room interactive experience features guided tours led by exceptionally trained actors through full-scale recreations of the famous ship, including her Grand Staircase, Promenade Deck, Marconi Room, First Class Parlor Suite and the Captains Bridge as well as many historical treasures and artifacts from around the world.

Titanic - The Experience was developed and founded by world renowned Titanic explorer and adventurer, G. Michael Harris. Born in Clearwater, Florida, Mr. Harris has spent the last 25 years cultivating his research, knowledge and exploration of Titanic. He is the founder of RMS Titanic, Inc., and led the largest expedition to the Titanic wreck site, salvaging over 1,000 new artifacts and personally making more than 8 dives to the site. "Titanic has been a life-force and adventure for me and my family. Bringing this exciting experience to Orlando and having it so well received over the years has been an honor and privilege." said owner G. Michael Harris. "We want everyone to have a chance to feel what it's like to explore this famous ship."

Recently, Mr. Harris led a return expedition to Titanic with his son, Sebastian, who set the Guinness World Record as the "Youngest Person to Dive to Titanic" at 12,800 ft. This historic dive, in addition to new data on how Titanic sank, was all captured on over 150 hours of HD footage and is showcased in the attraction new underwater 'Dive Room' .

Over 2,000,000 'passengers' have boarded this unique and exciting attraction during its first 10 years and expectations are high for the future.
