Rita M. Marsales Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry
Ms. Marsales catalogs library acquisitions for the Menil Collection.
HOUSTON, TX, December 17, 2008 /Museums PR News/ -- Rita M. Marsales, Catalog Librarian for the Menil Collection, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in various aspects of library management.
Ms. Marsales has 42 years of professional library experience and two years with the Menil Collection, a world-class art museum where she is responsible for cataloging library acquisitions. Ms. Marsales joined the Menil Collection after retiring from Rice University, where she worked in various capacities at Fondren Library, most recently as Preservation Librarian, responsible for book repair, binding and collection maintenance.
A member of the American Library Association, Ms. Marsales received her Master's Degree in Art History from Rice University in 1992 and her Master's Degree in Library Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 1973. She volunteers with the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center.
