The Baldwin County Express Traveling Museum hopes to make it's trial run by November 2008. The museum is a full scale replica of the "Pine Knot Special" a 4-4-0 wood burning steam locomotive which operated during the early 1900's through downtown Foley.

The Baldwin County Express Inc is a 501(c) nonprofit organization which collects and preserves local history thru it's website. In addition to the traveling train museum they also have plans to build and operate a stationary museum, depot and gift shops.

    /Museums PR News/ - FOLEY, AL, August 06, 2008 - Foley Alabama is one of the stops that the "Baldwin Express" locomotive will make scheduled trips to. The train will make daily runs throughout the county during Baldwin's Bicentennial year. You can make donations and hitch a ride by going to their website. Members get to ride free once each year. Membership is free.
